Write for us
We welcome pitches about music listening spaces, habits, shared sessions and the objects that shape the experience of recorded music. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a full draft without an invitation.
What we are looking for
A strong proposal starts with one specific question or observation and shows why it matters to listeners. We are interested in clear explanations, thoughtful comparisons, well-framed histories and useful ideas that do not depend on specialist access or equipment.
Make the pitch easy to assess
Tell us the working title, the central point, the intended reader and the shape of the piece. Mention sources or relevant experience where they support the proposal, and flag any commercial connection that could affect how the subject is presented.
Keep the scope grounded
We do not need grand claims about the perfect listening setup. Pitches should respect differing tastes and circumstances, distinguish personal experience from general guidance and avoid advice that requires technical or professional assessment.
A room can change the way we hear
We pay attention to the setting as well as the sound: where listeners sit, what draws the eye and how a session finds its pace.
